INFO: PLOT,

Home Tutor Hitman Reborn! or if you prefer, Katekyo Hitman Reborn! is a fun new manga series created by Akira Amano. It made it's debut in Weekly Shounen Jump sometime in the year of 2004 and is still being published in the magazine. (This summary will be a bit of a spoiler.^^)

The story starts off with a baby named Reborn, who is the Vongola family's #1 hitman of the mafia. He ventures off to Japan on some very important business. What that business is exactly, we'll find out soon.

This is where Sawada Tsunayoshi enters the picture. Tsuna is a junior high school student with no drive in his life whatsoever. He's given the nickname "No good Tsuna" at school because well, that's pretty much what describes him best. He's always getting low test scores and upsets his team members in all the sports activities in P.E. His one reason for going to school is seeing his cute crush, Sasagawa Kyoko, who he thinks is pretty much out of his league so he never bothers with talking to her, especially since he thinks she's going out with the Kendo club's captain, Mochida. Poor Tsuna!

His mother, Nana, upset at the fact that her son is so deadbeat on life goes into action and hires a home tutor from a flyer she got in the mail. Tsuna is then angered that his mother would go and do such a thing and has a bit of an argument with her about it until Reborn arrives on the scene. Reborn introduces himself and has come to tell them that he's the hired home tutor which Tsuna finds totally hysterical. A baby? As a home tutor? You've got to be joking!

Though this may be Tsuna's last laugh as Reborn shows him what a real home tutor baby can do! He beats Tsuna up a bit and tells him that his real reason for being there is to make Tsuna into a mafia boss. This is something that Tsuna, of course, refuses to believe until Reborn holds a machine gun to his head, thinking whether or not to shoot him. It's decided that he'll do it later and walks off. Now that Reborn has left, Tsuna thinks that he had left for good but he gets startled when he sees him at the dinner table. Mama thinks that Reborn will be staying until Tsuna gets his grades up so it's obvious that she's pretty much oblivious about the whole mafia business.

As Tsuna takes a walk outside with Reborn following, he spots Kyoko and quickly hides out of her sight. Reborn obviously knows that Tsuna has a thing for Kyoko and tells him he should go make a move. But of course, Tsuna refuses...until Reborn shoots him right in the forehead. As Tsuna is dying, he thinks to himself that he should of told Kyoko how he felt about her. Then he's all of a sudden, he's REBORN! Now that he's alive(and wearing only his boxers), he figures he should go find Kyoko and tell her now. But it doesn't go so well. She runs off in fear after she's been asked to go out with him and Mochida beats him up for it. Reborn then explains the power of the 'Dying Will' bullet, a specialty of the Vongola family. Once shot with the bullet, if a regret was ever held, that person will be revived for about 5 minutes to fulfil it. Of course, there's a catch if you never had a regret in the first place...^^;

Now in Tsuna's room, Reborn gives him a little insight on the Vongola family. Since the 9th is getting old, he thought it was time to pass the boss status to the next person in line. Tsuna's great, great, great grandfather, who was the 1st boss, had retired early, came to Japan, and started a family there to which of course, Tsuna is part of and is now a legitimate candidate to be the 10th generation boss. Again, Tsuna doesn't buy it and thinks he wouldn't make a great mafia boss anyway. (Tsuna is so stubborn!)

The next scene starts back at Tsuna's school...BUT I'll stop here. Hopefully, this summary somewhat sparked some interest and if you really want to find out what happens next, I suggest you buy the books or read some of the scanlations out there. Seriously, it's a great series worth reading! :)
